Launched in June 2008, FAN is a quarterly, full-color magazine that runs from 56- to 72-pages in length, full of resource information and articles for and about seniors in Tuolumne and Calaveras counties. It has separate sections titled fitness and health; community; safe, sound and savvy; veterans; pets; and remember when (reminiscence). We have a dozen professional writers who freelance for the magazine; and 10 contributing community columnists who are experts in their respective fields. We publish 12,000 copies quarterly, and the magazine is distributed at more than 150 Tuolumne and Calaveras locations, including medical and dental offices, and all senior-resource agencies, plus numerous retail locations.
